Acceptance of Terms By using Riyo, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. ## 2. Description of Riyo Riyo is an AI-assisted dream journal and symbol reflection app. Riyo helps users record dreams, reflect on recurring symbols, and notice personal patterns over time. Riyo may provide journal prompts, symbolic reflections, saved reflection history, optional image-based journal entry support, ads, analytics, and crash reporting. ## 3. Entertainment and Self-Reflection Only Riyo is designed for self-reflection and entertainment. Riyo is not designed for urgent, professional, predictive, religious, or high-stakes decisions. No Professional Advice Riyo is not a medical advice, psychological diagnosis, therapy, professional advice, spiritual or religious guidance, financial advice, legal advice, prediction, or fortune-telling service. Riyo does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition. Riyo is not therapy, crisis support, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for qualified professional help. Users should not rely on Riyo for important decisions. For medical, mental health, legal, financial, safety, or emergency concerns, users should contact qualified professionals or local emergency services. ## 5. User Content Users are responsible for the text and images they submit. Users should not submit: - content they do not have the right to use; - illegal, harmful, abusive, or exploitative content; - content that violates another person's rights; - highly sensitive content they do not want processed by Riyo or service providers. - sensitive health, medical, identity, financial, or legal information. By submitting content, users give Riyo permission to process that content to provide app functionality, including AI-assisted reflections, storage, feedback handling, and safety or quality improvements consistent with the Privacy Policy. ## 6. AI-Generated Output Riyo may use third-party AI systems through its backend to generate symbolic dream reflections. The current iOS runtime sends dream reflection requests through the Riyo `riyo-db` backend. AI-generated reflections may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a user's situation. AI output can misunderstand user input, omit context, or generate text that does not apply to the user. Users are responsible for how they interpret and use Riyo output. Users should not rely on AI-generated reflections for important decisions. ## 7. Ads and Free Access Riyo may show ads to support free access. Current access may be ad-supported. Ad availability is not guaranteed. Some features may be delayed or unavailable if ads, backend services, SDKs, network access, or AI providers are unavailable. Riyo does not promise that every feature will always remain free, ad-supported, or available. ## 8. Acceptable Use Users agree not to: - misuse the app or backend services; - attempt to extract, abuse, or attack Riyo systems; - submit illegal, harmful, abusive, or rights-infringing content; - bypass rate limits, ads, consent flows, or security protections; - use Riyo output to harm themselves or others; - present Riyo output as professional advice. ## 9. Privacy Riyo's Privacy Policy explains how data may be collected, processed, stored, and shared. Availability and Changes Riyo may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Riyo may update prompts, models, backend routing, SDKs, ads, analytics, and app behavior. Riyo may also update these Terms. Continued use after changes means users accept the updated Terms. ## 11. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riyo, Kaira Labs, and related service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from use of the app. Riyo is provided without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or suitable for a user's personal circumstances. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some limits may not apply. ## 12. Termination Riyo may suspend or terminate access if a user violates these Terms, abuses the service, creates risk for others, or if continued access would create legal, security, or operational risk. Users may stop using Riyo at any time. ## 13. Users should not enter sensitive health, medical, identity, financial, legal, or other highly sensitive personal data. Riyo is not medical advice, psychological diagnosis, therapy, professional advice, prediction, or religious guidance. Current iOS ads are AdMob native ads in Journal and Symbols; ATT is not requested in the current iOS code path. ## Prompt 19 Review Note Release AdMob IDs are configured, but actual ad serving is not guaranteed until verified in a Release/TestFlight build and in the AdMob console. Firebase, Apple Developer, App Store Connect, live legal/support URLs, release provisioning, final screenshots, archive, and TestFlight setup remain external release requirements. ## Prompt 20 Review Note Riyo requires explicit, versioned legal consent before opening the main app. Users must accept the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. The legal copy states that Riyo uses AI-generated reflections, that outputs may be wrong or incomplete, that users are responsible for how they interpret or use outputs, and that Riyo is not medical advice, diagnosis, therapy, prediction, religious guidance, legal advice, or financial advice.
